Day creams are used to layer and protect the skin from harmful elements and usually contain an SPF (sun protection factor) rating.  Night creams are much heavier in consistency and are used as a treatment, specifically to repair the skin. Each night, when the body is at rest, a night cream will penetrate the skin better than a day cream will and work to repair the damages of the day.

At OMI Salon & Spa, we offer and use Dermalogica products for each skin type.  Dermalogica offers a Sheer Tint Moisturizer, which is a great day cream and is slightly tinted for those who would like to reduce their morning prep time.  For a great night time cream, we recommend a Super Rich Repair cream that will heal your skin while you sleep.
